Lake Monitoring Training

Training is required for new volunteers and anyone signing up for a new parameter. It is also beneficial for people looking for a refresher or those curious about how the CLMP may help protect their lake. Previous 2025 training options for reference below. We encourage you to save the date for the 2026 in-person training being held at the Michigan Lakes and Streams Association (MLSA) 2026 Annual Conference on May 1 and 2, 2026 at the VanDyk Mortgage Convention Center in Muskegon, MI..

Option 1: In-person Training, Muskegon, April 25 and 26, 2025

• CLMP in-person training will be held at the Michigan Lakes and Streams Association (MLSA) 2025 Annual Conference at the VanDyk Mortgage Convention Center in Muskegon, MI.

• Registration closed. When you begin registration for the conference, you will find options to attend the CLMP training only (free; meals available for purchase separately) or attend the full conference including the training and meals (use the discount code MiCorps25 for a 25% discount for MiCorps volunteers).

• A group rate is available at the Delta Hotels Muskegon Convention Center for $149/night. Last day to book: Sunday, March 23, 2025. Follow the instructions on the conference website to receive the discounted rate.

Option 2: Online Training Day, April 30, 2025

• Free online training will take place on April 30, 2025 from 9 am – 4:30 pm. You can join for the entire day or for just the parts you need training on. See the 2025 agenda for details.
