Stream Monitoring Training

The MiCorps stream monitoring training is held annually during a one day workshop, sometime between June and August. The date is determined each year by the availability of the organizations that receive that year's stream monitoring grants.

This training is intended for the program leaders of the organizations around Michigan that conduct volunteer stream monitoring. It is a "train the trainer" program-- MiCorps will train program leaders, and then the program leaders go back home to train their own volunteers.

If you are not a program leader but wish to learn how to conduct macroinvertebrate monitoring, find a local group near you who will be happy to train you as a volunteer: https://micorps.rsgisnext.msu.edu/streams/monitoring/orgs
